December!

Hey Peeps!
Training starts next wednesday, STOKED. I'm excited to have something to get my mind off school for a while and get to see my good pals again. With training starting up soon i'm starting to think about our Penticton training camp, lots of fun is had climbing up, flying down, and around the okanogan! The only lame part of it is waiting till spring break for it! Oh well rollers will be "fun" until then :D.

I Hope everyone's getting excited for Christmas! I know i've been counting down the days with my CHOCO CALENDAR, that's right ladies and gents. I've made a pact to get one every year for ETERNITY.

In other news the new We The Kings album is coming out in two days! i've heard most of the album already scouring youtube and it. is. FANtastic. Different from their first one but nonetheless grand.

Hope everyone's loving the snow

Off Season

Hey Peeps,

So it's now off season and I'm missing my bike big time. I had a great adventure on it yesterday in the river valley on my first snow ride. Let's just say that in the end my body touched snow countless times but it was a gas! Off season has gone by so quickly and I'm getting pumped for training starting up soon!

With all the snow around, my riding music has been lots of indie music. Karen O and The Kids (Where the Wild Things Are), The Kills, and Arctic Monkeys meshed together create such a concert in your ears it's unbelievable.

Good grief!! It's almost a month till christmas!! I can't believe that we JUST got the first snow fall of winter yesterday. I hope it stays so there will be a lot of fun cross rides!

Cheers,

Dylan

Closing the Season

Hey Guys!

So i'll apologize right off the bat and tell you i suck at blogging. In my first blog EVER (that's right EVER ladies and gents) i just want to sum up my season so i can keep it on record somewhere. This season, i've learned so much about riding and even about myself as a person. From learning how to sprint, how far I can ride, to self confidence and leadership. It's kinda an odd feeling just figuring stuff out on your own like i did.

One thing that's been bumbing me out lately is the fact that there isn't alot of us U17/Junior riders in Juventus so if you're between the ages of 14-17 i think you should consider racing (you'll never regret it).

I want to finish just by posting my results of this season and some notes on them so i can compare them to next season..

Lethbridge HillClimb- 4:26 (need to sprint sooner at the top)

Lethbridge RR - 02:26:08.00 (27th) - flat course at the beginning, turn around gets hilly

Velocity RR - (always windy on the back stretch)

Aerobic Power iTT - 36:00.00 hard off the start (uphill all the way), take turnaround wide, big spin on the descent back)

Pigeon Lake RR - keep the legs spinning on the descents, gear up for sprint on last corner before the hill.

Devon GP HC - 02:14.00 - don't look down, sprint at the barriers on the left side.

Devon itt - 01:00:58.00 VERY windy, bonked easily, watch out for the valley as halfway point to turnaround

Tour de Bowness HC - 04:55.00 - memorize the corners on preride, hold center line, sprint on second last corner (or 3rd)

Tour de Bown... Provincial Crit - hold line, use the hill as a sprint point, keep descents tight.

RR Provincials - basically a big crit course. try not to bonk ;p

Now that that's done i'm posting one of the best songs OF ALL TIME.

...Old Yellow Bricks - The Arctic Monkeys...
Seriously, get that album, it's. the. best.

The best to you all,
Dylan
